As you have probably heard, Southern symbols of the Old South were not
welcomed at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. However, one Olympic pin was
made with the GEORGIA STATE FLAG INCLUDED! Soviet Georgia had one made
that carried their flag and the flag of the host state. It is the only
pin that includes the IOC approved Olympic rings. Many Olympic pins now
sell for big dollars, but this is truly a rare one. We Have ALL the remaining
pins. There are NO others!
You may own one for just $20.00 (some Olympic pins now sell into the hundreds!).
The Soviet Georgia Olympic team sold them to help pay their expenses; but
they were NOT sold in commercial outlets. This unique pin is beautiful,
well made and will certainly get attention whether worn as a lapel, vest
or hat pin. It carries the words: "Two Georgia's, United in Friendship,
Atlanta '96." There is a very limited number of these available. These
pins will be sold on a first come basis until all are gone.
